Hey there! I was a little disappointed by the lack of interest in volunteering at the Treasure Island Triathlon. I'm sure the "mandatory meeing" made you guys apprehensive, but I solved the problem! I contacted the volunteers director, and she told me volunteers DO NOT have to attend the meeting. I will be going on your behalf. Now that we've got that issue solved, won't you guys please sign-up?

Let me remind you that this is probably the only chance you'll ever get to receive credit for two clubs for going to one event. Since we are collaborating with Chinese Club on this, you can get one credit for MAD and one for Chinese Club. If you would like, however, you can get both credits for one club.

The Nike Marathon coordinator also contacted me tonight. She only assigned us five intersections. Unfortunately, we have over 70 volunteers signed up. I e-mailed her immediately upon receiving the message, so hopefully we can squeeze in a few extra volunteers. It looks like I'll have to cut volunteers off the list though. If we only have five intersections, the maximum number of volunteers we can bring is 30. Priority will be given to those who have yet to complete their three credit requirements. I'm really sorry about this! Thank you all for your interest and enthusiasm. I will try my best to increase the number of volunteers we can bring. Please check your e-mails often and be sure to come to the mandatory meeting on Tuesday, October 18th at 3:45 in room 233.
