Hey everyone! At our party last Tuesday, I said that our next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 13th, but I recently received a note from the Yearbook staff asking us to meet on Tuesday, November 22nd to take our Yearbook photo. Please try to attend - you all deserve recognition in the yearbook for all the volunteering you've done!

The meeting will be a short one, so I hope everyone will attend!

Hey everyone! I have some mind blowing news for you all! Our super fantabulous treasurer, Lucy Deng, has finally finished counting the UNICEF money. Lucy has been counting EVERY penny day in and day out for over a week now. Please thank her when you see her!


Do you know why it took her so long? We raised exactly $781.93 for UNICEF! It's unbelievable! Thank you all very much for contributing so much! In case you were wondering, Lucy counted 2383 pennies, 537 nickels, 604 dimes, 585 quarters, 224 one dollar bills, 16 five dollar bills, 9 ten dollar bills, 4 twenty dollar bills and 1 fifty dollar bill. That's right, almost 2400 pennies passed through Lucy's hands! She even double-checked her calculations!

On your behalf, we will make an even $800 to donation to UNICEF. I can't thank you guys enough! Be sure to come to our Fall Semester Party on Tuesday, November 15th at 3:45 in room 233!! We will definitely reward you guys! Remember to RSVP by Saturday, November 12th if you're planning on attending! (Include movie choice and suggestions for food, please!)

You guys went above and beyond and this money will definitely make a BIG difference in many people's lives. Give yourselves a pat on the back!

Hey everyone! Thanks for volunteering at all our events this semester! Almost everybody has their credits done and we're winding down for the semester, so I think it's about time we had our HUGE PARTY!

We will have a party to thank all our volunteers next Tuesday, November 15th at 3:45 in room 233. Please RSVP no later than Saturday, November 12th if you plan to attend because we need a final headcount to determine how much food to order! Also include your choice for a movie to show during the party (keep it PG13 and below please!). If you guys don't voice your opinions, I get to choose! (In case you were wondering, I love "chick flicks"!)

Please RSVP ASAP with your movie choice. Also include any suggestions of food you want us to serve on Tuesday. Keep requests reasonable!

Hey everyone! Have you missed my lengthy emails? Haha.

Well, Treasure Island Triathlon will be taking place in less than 12 hours. Some of you may have some last minute questions or concerns, so if I do not answer them in the email, please do not hesitate to call me. I'll try to help you to be best of my ability. Karen @ 4158302371. Brace yourselves - this will be a LONG one.

Like Lucy said in her last email, you guys will either be on the Bike Course or at an Aid Station. The details of each job aren't important right now - just remember to show up NO LATER THAN 6:45am tomorrow. It would be ideal if you could get to the island by 6:30AM because that will allow for all the nitty gritty details and last minute adjustments we may have to make. Let me warn you now, we're all (especially me!) going to be under a lot of pressure tomorrow so we will be stressed out. Please cooperate with our requests or there will be dire consequences! Be flexible - the Treasure Island staff are really unclear about what will be going on tomorrow, so there may be some last minute changes... On a brighter note: there will be free breakfast! Most likely bagels + coffeeee. YUM. Lunch will also be provided. Volunteers will also gain access to all the Finish Line Food at the end of the event. Awesome, no? Powerbars + Gatorade Galore! =)

Because we have a relatively large group and will be dispersed throughout the island, I've decided to assign group leaders to each of you. You must remain with your group leaders at all times, unless otherwise instructed. You will report to your group leaders and go to them with any questions. It'll most likely be cold at Treasure Island (I heard from a native that it "never gets hot; not even in July!"), so please remember to wear a sweatshirt ! Wear your lovely t-shirt over it so everyone will know you're a volunteer. That's uber important b/c your volunteer t-shirt is what gets you all the free fooood! =D

Most importantly, please try to have FUN. I tried to group you with your friends for a reason!
